Australia’s industry superannuation construction fund Construction and Building Industry Super (Cbus) is considering merging with other funds, I&T News reports. The move is intended to address shifting demographic demands and regulatory changes aimed at cost cutting.
Cbus presently handles $17 billion and has a membership of some 650,000. The $1.8 billion Professional Associations Super is also looking to expand organically or through mergers and acquisitions.
