Mesirow Financial is setting up a Hong Kong office in the fourth quarter of 2011. The new subsidiary Mesirow Financial Hong Kong will be staffed initially with personnel from the firm’s fund of hedge funds group Mesirow Advanced Strategies.
The new unit will be the firm’s first Asian office outside of the Middle East. Mesirow Financial also opened a London office in June 2007 and set up a joint venture partnership with Mubadala Development Company in Abu Dhabi in February 2011.
