PE Firms Bid For $9.65B Anglo Irish Loans

Investor groups led by Centerbridge Capital Partners, Blackstone Group and Lone Star have submitted bids for the $9.65 billion U.S. property loans of Anglo Irish Bank.

Investor groups led by Centerbridge Capital Partners, Blackstone Group and Lone Star have submitted bids for the $9.65 billion U.S. property loans of Anglo Irish Bank, Bloomberg reports. TPG Capital, Cerberus Capital Management and Colony Capital were among the bidders for all or some of the 248 loans. Cerberus has partnered with Oaktree Capital Group and LNR Property, while TPG has teamed up with Lubert-Adler Partners and PIMCO. Anglo Irish is being advised by Eastdil Secured and FTI Consulting on the sale.
