Canadian investors are increasingly getting interested in managed futures to gain exposure to commodities without the risk of purchasing stocks in mining, drilling or farming companies, as per Auspice Capital Advisors, Reuters reports. According to Tim Pickering, founder and head of Auspice, investor demand is rising for products that tap into the global boom for commodities, but provide a quick exit if required.

Auspice targets energy, metals, grains and soft commodities sectors and complements that with trade in currencies, interest rate futures and equity indices futures. The commodity adviser, which gets most of its funds from institutions, will roll out a new managed future ETF within the next six months that will respond to retail demand for managed futures in Canada.
