HKExTo Partner With Shanghai, Shenzhen

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing is planning to form a joint venture with the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing (HKEx) is planning to form a joint venture with the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges in Hong Kong, The Wall Street Journal reports. The areas of cooperation may include the development of index and other equity derivative products.

The potential deal between the Hong Kong and Chinese exchanges will have a constant focus on Chinese market. Separately, HKEx is planning to extend trading hours in Hong Kong for better alignment with Chinese markets.
