South African asset management group Investec has placed a bid to buy Evolution Group, The Wall Street Journal reports. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Societe Generale and Royal Bank of Canada were considered as potential buyers for Evolution, adds City A.M. Evolution Group is an investment banking and private client investment management group.
