Harrish Zaveri shoots straight in to second place. The Deutsche Bank analyst, who is also No. 1 in Consumer/Discretionary and No. 2 in Consumer/Staples, “has been covering Indian media since the industry was born,” observes one fan. “Consequently, his long relationships with managements add value.” Way back in April 2009, Zaveri urged clients to buy Zee Entertainment Enterprises, a Mumbai-based producer of Hindi-language TV programs, films and software; he deemed the shares a bargain at 60.35 rupees. By the end of May 2011 the stock had soared 127.2 percent, to Rs137.10.
