CA Foundation Gives $6M To LA Nonprofits

The California Community Foundation has invested $5.6 million in around 62 nonprofit organizations located in Los Angeles.

The California Community Foundation (CCF) has invested $5.6 million in around 62 nonprofit organizations located in Los Angeles. The money will majorly be used for program areas that are priorities for the community foundation which serves all of the LA County.

It will be also used for providing equine-based activities for low-income youth in Compton and surrounding areas and for providing multidisciplinary arts workshops and programming in the Northeast San Fernando Valley. The contribution from the foundation will provide support for civic engagement and research advancement towards the prevention and treatment of blood cancer for Hispanic children.
