Barclays Wealth Appoints MENA Head

Barclays Wealth has named Rory Gilbert as private banking head for the Middle East and North Africa.

Barclays Wealth has named Rory Gilbert as private banking head for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Bloomberg reports. He is currently serving as managing director and head of high net worth business in the U.K. and Ireland at the firm.

Gilbert has replaced Soha Nashaat, who will be taking a client and strategic advisory role within Barclays Wealth. Nashaat had been serving as the CEO for Barclays Wealth in Middle East and North Africa since 2006.
