The Brooklyn Community Foundation has granted $2.3 million to 118 nonprofits organizations. These firms work in five strategic areas, including education and youth achievement and community development, arts for all, caring neighbors and community development.

The five field of interest funds have been developed by the foundation to address an array of issues affecting the lives of Brooklynites. Since its launch as Brooklyn’s first community foundation in 2009, it has granted over $10 million to Brooklyn’s most effective nonprofit organizations.
