LSE, Sri Lanka In Share Trading Talks

The London Stock Exchange is in discussions with the Sri Lankan regulator to trade stocks listed in each others’ exchanges.

The London Stock Exchange (LSE) is in discussions with the Sri Lankan regulator to trade stocks listed in each others’ exchanges, Reuters reports. The talks are a part of LSE’s new international board project, adds Lanka Business Online.

LSE’s international board plans to give a trading window to at least five other stock exchanges for market intermediaries to trade stocks. Sri Lanka’s Securities and Exchange Commission is seeking to allow foreign companies to list on the Colombo Stock Exchange to get access to trade their shares in London.
