NSE Plans Dow Jones, S&P Options Launch

The National Stock Exchange is seeking to partner with CME Group to roll out option contracts based on U.S. indexes.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) is seeking to partner with CME Group to roll out option contracts based on U.S. indexes, Business Standard reports. NSE will be able to float futures and options on both the S&P500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) Index upon completion of the deal.

As per the current deal between the two entities, the exchange is only permitted to launch futures contracts on DJIA. NSE is also in discussions with the London Stock Exchange to launch derivative contracts based on FTSE100.
