LIA Gets 38% Returns Via ICICI ADRs

Sovereign wealth fund Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) received 38% returns by investing in the American Depository Receipts (ADRs) of ICICI Bank.

Sovereign wealth fund Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) received 38% returns by investing in the American Depository Receipts (ADRs) of ICICI Bank, Economic Times reports. The LIA is controlled by Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

The LIA’s assets totaled about $64.2 billion as of Sept. 30, 2010. ICICI Bank is the single Indian company in the investment portfolio of LIA.
