Glaxosmithkline is seeking to sellitsportfolio of consumer products worth £1.5-2 billion, The Wall Street Journal reports. The potential bidders for the deal include AdventInternational, WarburgPincus and Cinven.
The over-the-counter products, which are primarily sold in Europe and the U.S., created revenues of nearly £500 million in 2010. Goldman Sachs is organizing the auction of the portfolio.
