BNP Paribas has appointed Fred Fiddle as head of its strategic equity and convertible origination business in the Americas. In the newly created position, he will work under Pierre Lapomme, head of equity capital markets for the Americas, and Fabrice Hugon, head of structured equity sales for the Americas.

Fiddle will be based in New York in the new role. Most recently, he was working with Weeden & Company. Prior to that, he worked with North Carolina-based Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch unit, where he was head of equity-linked origination for the Americas.
