San Diego Allocates $200M To Hedge Funds

The San Diego County Employees Retirement Association is investing $200 million in hedge fund strategies.

The San Diego County Employees Retirement Association (SDCERA) is investing $200 million in hedge fund strategies, Pensions & Investments reports. The $8.2 billion association will allocate $100 million to Saba Capital Partners’ relative value strategy.

DE Shaw’s global macro fund Heliant will secure the other $100 million of the investment. The pension scheme may create a common approach to tracking error by sub-portfolio based on nature of the investment strategy/mandate.
