Private equity investment firm TPG Capital has appointed Jingsheng Huang as partner, Reuters reports. Huang, who has worked with Bain Capital since 2005, will start in his new position from August 2011.

TPG has been seeking to appoint senior partners after Mary Ma and senior partner Weijian Shan left the firm to set up their own funds. Huang, who is expected to be a partner together with Steve Sun, a principal from Goldman Sachs, will join a China team that includes Sing Wang, a former Goldman executive, and Ricky Lau.
