Capital One has raised $2 billion through a common stock offering.

Capital One has raised $2 billion through a common stock offering, Reuters reports. The Virginia-based financial services firm sold 40 million shares at $50.87 each. The lender intends to use the proceeds to fund its $9 billion takeover of ING Direct. The stock offering was underwritten by Barclays Capital, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan.
