Mainstream, Sinovel Sign €1.5B Wind Deal

China’s Sinovel Wind Group has entered a €1.5 billion deal with Irish wind park developer Mainstream Renewable Power.

China’s Sinovel Wind Group has entered a €1.5 billion deal with Irish wind park developer Mainstream Renewable Power, Financial Times reports. Sinovel will supply the turbines required for the wind power projects, adds The Irish Times.

China Development Bank may offer a part of the funding for the projects. Chinese-built turbines will be installed in Ireland’s wind farms over the next five years with a combined capacity of 1,000MW.
