North Carolina-based Semprius has raised $20 million in its third round of venture capital funding. Siemens (SIE) led the funding round through its Siemens Venture Capital division.

Existing investors ARCH Venture Partners, Applied Ventures, Illinois VENTURES, Intersouth Partners, In-Q-Tel and GVC Investment also participated. The concentrating photovoltaic systems developer will use the funding to construct a pilot HCPV module production plant.
