PE Firms Mull Anglo Irish RE Loans’ Bid

Blackstone Group, TPG, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Company and Paulson & Company are considering bidding for a $10 billion portfolio of U.S. commercial real estate loans.

Blackstone Group, TPG, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Company (KKR) and Paulson & Company are considering bidding for a $10 billion portfolio of U.S. commercial real estate loans, The Wall Street Journal reports. The portfolio is being sold by Anglo Irish Bank.Blackstone has teamed up with Deutsche Bank to offer its bid, while KKR has partnered with Westbrook Partners. TPG is working with LoanCare Capital and Paulson is teaming with AIG, Centerbridge Capital Partners and BlackRock. The seller has appointed Eastdil Secured and FTI Consulting as advisors for the sale.
