Anglo Irish Bank may close its foreign exchange desk in London as part of an ongoing restructuring, FX Week reports. The desk, which currently has three people, is expected to wind down in three to six months.
The bank’s corporate treasury team works with companies offering spot FX rates on most currency pairs and settling FX transactions on a same-day basis. The FX business suffered losses during the financial crisis in 2008.
