UniCredit Eyes €10B NPL Portfolio Sale

UniCredit is seeking to sell a part of its non-performing loan portfolio.

UniCredit is seeking to sell a part of its non-performing loan portfolio (NPL), The Wall Street Journal reports. According to UniCredit CEO Federico Ghizzoni, the Italian lender has a €10 billion NPL.

The Milan-based lender has currently not decided on how much of NPL it plans to sell. UniCredit’s Italian rival, Intesa Sanapolo is also preparing to sell up to €4 billion of NPL, adds Reuters.
