Goldman Sachs has appointed two senior bankers to manage Japanese equity and bond underwriting and set up a public-sector group.

Goldman Sachs has appointed two senior bankers to manage Japanese equity and bond underwriting and set up a public-sector group, Bloomberg reports. Yasuro Koizumi and Makoto Ito will be co-heads of the financing group in the country.

The pair has succeeded Jasper Tans, who was head of the group and will return to London. Mitsunari Okamoto has been appointed to head the new group that will focus on the government sector, infrastructure and utilities.
