Wal-Mart Pledges $4M For NY Youth Program

Wal-Mart has granted $4 million to New York City’s summer youth-employment program.

Wal-Mart has granted $4 million to New York City’s summer youth-employment program, The Wall Street Journal reports. The U.S. department store chain also pledged to raise an additional $1 million for the program.

With Walmart’s contribution, the program has seen $6 million in private donations in total, along with $20 million from the city and $10 million from the state, adds The Epoch Times. The latest donation by Walmart is expected to offer 3,400 minimum wage jobs.
