The Li Ka Shing Foundation has granted $1.5 million to Yale University, ECNmag.com reports. The donation was awarded to expand two research core facilities, the human embryonic stem cell core and the genomics core, of the Yale Stem Cell Center (YSCC).
The donation will also allow YSCC to continue to make available to its members current technologies used in stem cell research. The Li Ka Shing Foundation is a Hong Kong-based philanthropy devoted to advancing education and healthcare.
