Newedge has expanded its prime brokerage origination and structuring team in New York and Hong Kong with the appointment of four senior executives, FINalternatives reports. The multi-asset brokerage, execution and clearing firm has hired Alastair Sclater as regional head of origination and structuring in Hong Kong, Miriam Zaitoun and Jasper Chua as associate directors for the New York team.

The firm has also added Michael Dolan as head of EdgeConnect based in New York and John Pitt as head of commission management services on the Newedge EdgeConnect team. Prior to this, Sclater was associated with Mizuho Securities, Zaitoun with Deutsche Bank and Chua with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Dolan and Pitt are coming to Newedge from Instinet.
