Shazam Gets $32M In VC Funding

London-based mobile music identification service Shazam has received venture funding worth $32 million.

London-based mobile music identification service Shazam has received venture funding worth $32 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers and Institutional Venture Partners provided the funding.

The firm’s existing investor DN Capital also participated in the funding round. The company will utilize the financing to develop its mobile phone application and fund its expansion into the television market with Shazam TV.
