The Norfolk County Council Pension Fund, Norwich, England, has appointed Sarasin & Partners to manage £125 million in active global equities, Pensions & Investments reports. Other finalists for the position were Baillie Gifford, M&GInvestments, Marathon Asset Management and Wellington Management International.
The new mandate’s financing was kept temporarily in a passive U.K. equity fund, managed by Legal & General Investment Management. The £2.1 billion pension fund was assisted by investment consultant, Hymans Robertson, in the search process.
