Standard Chartered has appointed Sandeep Das as managing director and head of its private banking unit in India, The Wall Street Journal reports. In his new role, he has succeeded Soumya Rajan, who stepped down from his role last month, adds Economic Times.
Das joined Standard Chartered Bank in 1991. Previously, he managed consumer banking in India and was general manager of Standard Chartered Bank’s premium banking services.
