Northern Trust has acquired Bank of Ireland Securities Services (BoISS) for $82 million from the Bank of Ireland Group. Northern Trust’s combined assets under custody and administration in Ireland will increase by about $96 billion through the deal.
The firm will expand its global fund servicing capabilities, particularly in the key areas of fund administration and the support of ETFs. The deal was initially announced in February 2011.
