Citigroup To Boost Asia IB Team

Citigroup is seeking to hire over 10 managing directors in 2012 for its Asian investment banking business.

Citigroup is seeking to hire over 10 managing directors in 2012 for its Asian investment banking business, The Wall Street Journal reports. The new directors will be managing areas, including natural resources, mergers and acquisitions and financial institutions, said Farhan Faruqui, head of Citigroup’s investment and corporate bank in the region.

The bank has appointed 25 managing directors for its Asian global banking business in the last 12 months. The Asia banking business covers bankers that work on initial public offerings and other share offerings, bonds, loans and mergers and acquisitions.
