Illinois SURS Approves New Asset Allocation

Illinois State Universities Retirement System has permitted a new asset allocation.

Illinois State Universities Retirement System (SURS) has permitted a new asset allocation, Pensions & Investments reports. The new allocation will not include any hedge fund or absolute-return strategies.

The new allocation will decrease U.S. equity and increase international equity and fixed income allocation. It will also include a 30% commitment to U.S. equity, 20% to non-U.S. equity, 19% to fixed income and 10% to real estate.
