BBC Eyes £300M London TV Centre Sale

The British Broadcasting Corporation has put its Television Centre in London up for sale.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has put its Television Centre in London up for sale, The Wall Street Journal reports. The U.K. media corporation is likely to raise around £300 million from the sale of the building.

The move is part of BBC’s plan to cut its property holdings by 30%, adds Reuters. BBC will also consider joint-venture proposals. A BBC subsidiary Studios & Post Production manages the Television Centre and is expected to continue operating it even after the sale. BBC expects to fully vacate the site by 2015.
