Barclays Bank’s investment banking unit Barclays Capital has named Cynthia Whelan as CEO of its Australian and New Zealand operations, The Wall Street Journal reports. Whelan has also been added to Barclays Asia Pacific executive committee.
Based in Sydney, she will work under the bank’s Chairman and CEO for Asia Pacific Robert Morrice, adds FinanceAsia. Whelan will continue to serve as head of investment banking for Australia and New Zealand.
