Citigroup has appointed new banking staff from UBS, The Wall Street Journal reports. UBS’ co-head of global mergers and acquisitions Cary Kochman will become Citi’s North America deals head, while Jim Glerum, co-head of UBS’ Midwest region, will join as Chairman of North America regional banking.

Justin Friesen, UBS’ deputy head of U.S. mergers and acquisitions, is also joining Citigroup, adds Financial Times. In May, Citi made at least six hires from UBS. The move is part of Citi’s plan to expand its retail consumer and institutional clients business.
