The SIX Swiss Exchange (SSE) has extended its contract with NASDAQ OMX. The Swiss exchange will update its existing SWXess equities trading platform with NASDAQ OMX’s X-stream INET technology.
The up-gradation will be done in the first quarter of 2012. X-stream INET utilizes the advanced functionality of NASDAQ OMX’s X-stream platform in combination with INET, which is the world’s fastest trading technology in production with a sub-100 microsecond latency.
