Cambodia Bourse To Start Trading By ‘11 End

Cambodia is set to soft-launch the Cambodia Securities Exchange on July 11.

Cambodia is set to soft-launch the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) on July 11, Reuters reports. First securities trading on the exchange will start towards the end of 2011. Nearly 10 private companies are seeking to list on the bourse besides state-owned PPWSA, Telecom Cambodia and Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia has provided licenses to 15 securities firms to operate on the CSX. The stock exchange will cite share prices in the local riel currency.
