Principia Capital Advisors (PCA) is seeking to start an Asia hedge fund with more than $750 million, Reuters reports. PCA will have offices in Hong Kong and Beijing, with equity strategy managed from Hong Kong. The firm is starting with commodity trading advisers, a hedge fund strategy betting on long-running trends in markets, credit and equity strategies. The offering will make Principia the second largest start-up in Asia.
