Carlyle Eyes $200M GarudaFood Stake

Carlyle Group and Japanese brewer, Suntory, have tendered bids to acquire a 30% stake in Indonesian consumer company, GarudaFood.

Carlyle Group and Japanese brewer, Suntory, have tendered bids to acquire a 30% stake in Indonesian consumer company, GarudaFood, Reuters reports. The stake is estimated to be worth about $200 million.

Tudung Group, which has business interests in food and the beverage industry in Indonesia and China, is the seller of the stake. 3i Group and Unitas Capital were also interested in the acquisition.
