Ex-NBIM Chief Buys Money Manager

Knut Kjaer and three other people have acquired Trient Asset Management.

Knut Kjaer and three other people have acquired Trient Asset Management, Pensions & Investments reports. Kjaer and his partners Erik Syvertsen, Tore Lysebo and Geir Stenseth, will buy the asset management firm from First Asset Management, a subsidiary of First Securities.

Kjaer is former CEO of Norges Bank Investment Management, while Syvertsen served as managing director at First Asset Management. Lysebo and Stenseth were portfolio managers at the money manager. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
