Egyptian Stock Exchange is planning to introduce exchange-traded-funds (ETFs) and allow short-selling in 2011, Bloomberg reports. The exchange is seeking to increase trading and offer investors greater access to local markets. The Egyptian Exchange will introduce same-day short selling and lift a restriction on intraday trading in May 2011. The bourse is also planning to start derivatives trading.
