iShares Silver Trust saw $1 billion outflow in the week ended May 4, 2011, Reuters reports. The silver ETF was the second-most actively traded U.S. equity on May 4, 2011, with volume of over 188 million shares. Investors, who added $726 million to the silver ETF in 2011, have taken out about $1.6 billion over the past two weeks. Spot silver prices, which touched $49.51 an ounce on April 28, 2011, have declined by about 25% this week.
