France’s GdF is seeking to launch a biomass energy unit at its plant in Poland, Reuters reports. The 205 megawatt biomass-fired power unit will be prepared by the end of next year. The new unit will produce some 1.2 terawatthours of clean energy a year. GdF was also mulling on building gas and coal fired units in Poland. GdF will close its existing 225-megawatt coal-fired division in November.
