The J Paul Getty Trust, an arts organizations and foundation, has appointed James Cuno as president and CEO, effective, Aug. 1, 2011, The Wall Street Journal reports. Cuno, who has replaced James Wood, joins the trust from the Art Institute of Chicago, where he served as president and director.
He has previously directed museums based at the University of London, Harvard University, Dartmouth College, Vassar College and the University of California, Los Angeles. Interim president Deborah Marrow will resume as director of the Getty’s foundation.
