Ex-BP CEO To Raise $1.6B In IPO

Tony Hayward, former CEO of BP, is planning to raise around $1.6 billion in an initial public offering for an energy investment fund.

Tony Hayward, former CEO of BP, is planning to raise around $1.6 billion in an initial public offering (IPO) for an energy investment fund, Bloomberg reports. The shares will be sold on the London Stock Exchange later this year.The investment vehicle is backed by financier, Nathanial Rothschild and Goldman Sachs’ investment banker, Julian Metherell. Currently, Hayward is associated with JPMorgan Chase and Credit Suisse. He is seeking to raise the funds to acquire assets from oil companies.
