Endowments Invest In Qiming VC Fund

Qiming Weichuang Venture Capital Management has raised $450 million for its venture capital fund.

Qiming Weichuang Venture Capital Management (Shanghai) has raised $450 million for its venture capital fund, The Wall Street Journal reports. New investors in the Qiming Ventures Fund III include the Harvard University Endowment and the University of Texas Investment Management. Existing investors include Princeton University Investment, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Siguler Guff & Company. Qiming, which invests in early-stage and high growth companies that are developing businesses around the healthcare, information technology, internet and clean technology industries, is also raising funds for its second $107.6 million yuan-denominated investment fund.
