Aston Asset Management has increased its funds family by rolling out a new mutual fund. The ASTON/River Road Long-Short Fund will offer absolute returns while minimizing volatility over a full market cycle by taking long and short positions in equity securities.
Aston will act as the investment adviser to the new fund, while River Road Asset Management will serve as its subadviser. The vehicle will be managed by Matthew Moran, portfolio manager at River Road and Greg Deuser, vice president, portfolio manager and director of research at the Kentucky-based firm.
