Kingdom Zephyr Africa Management has set up a new office in Lagos, Nigeria, AltAssets reports. The Africa-focused private equity firm’s new unit will be headed by Seyi Owodunni, Kingdom Zephyr partners and former CFO of Nigerian telecoms company, Starcomms.
The firm’s new arm will help in taping the west and central regions of Africa, as well as targeting oil, gas, power and financial services sectors within Nigeria, adds AltAssets. Kingdom Zephyr has previously invested in Nigerian banking sector through its first fund by acquiring stakes in United Bank for Africa and Ecobank Transnational.
