Ventas has completed the $3.1 billion acquisition of Kentucky-based Atria Senior Living Group and its 118 seniors housing communities, GlobeSt reports. Chicago-based Ventas acquired the community portfolio through the merger of Atria Senior Living Group and other companies that owned communities previously managed by Atria Senior Living Group, adds Business Journal. Prior to this deal, Atria Senior Living Group spun off its management business to Atria Senior Living, a new company which will continue to manage the acquired properties. Atria is owned by funds managed by Lazard Real Estate Partners.
